Mark your shopping calendar and gather all your girlfriends! Soigne’ Boutique, Central Austin’s most-affordable, yet sweetly-stylish shopping destination has two Austin Fashion Week events planned to get fashionistas through the dog days of a summer in style.

Soigne’ Boutique owner Amy Schalk will showcase some of summer’s most sophisticated looks in a fashion show on Wednesday, July 15th at her store located at 4800 Burnet Road. The party starts at 6:00 pm; the fashion show gets rocking at 7:00 pm. JR Salon will provide hair styling to the models adorned in Tracy Tenpenny Jewelry. Guests will enjoy sushi from Kenichi Austin’s portable sushi bar and cool cocktails provided by Cover 3, Dining, Sports and Spirits.

A second event is set for Friday, July 17th from 4-7:00 pm at Soigne’ to showcase the work of jewelry designer Tracy Tenpenny. Tracy’s designs offer a unique and simple elegance for the Austin gal who wants to make a statement with grace. Her single chalcedony necklaces are a wardrobe staple and they make a perfect gift for that special woman, mom, daughter or friend on your list. Guests at this event will sip champagne and sample chocolates provided by RIX Chocolates.

Moroccan Bath-An Exotic Affordable Luxury

Okay, I have a new addiction beyond my usual indulgence of a mani/pedi and a massage. It's the Morrocan Bath at Spa Reveil, Austin's newest spa sanctuary in the Domain. I recently had this luxurious treatment which consists of body washing, scrubbing and exfoliating with an exotic coffee scrub followed by a vichy rinse and moisturizing, warmed body cream. It's 80 minutes of warmth and water that will leave you so relaxed you'll want to clear the calendar and schedule a long nap. Massage therapist Susan Deebert also gave me a fantastic scalp massage before she sent me on my way. I also love that she mailed me a little thank you note a day or two after my service. What a nice personal touch!

Spa Reveil is beautiful and quiet and despite it's Domain location, prices are very affordable. A great place to getaway from it all without breaking the bank . The Morrocan Bath is $165.00, a great treat for anyone on your list, including guys. For more information, go to http://www.spareveil.com/

Soigne' Boutique Re-Grand Opening April 2nd

While many retailers around the nation are closing their doors due to the severe downturn in the economy, one Austin retailer is re-opening doors. Amy Schalk, owner of Soigné Boutique (4800 Burnet Road) recently shut the doors of Soigné’s brother store, Slate Men’s Apparel in late January. To celebrate the spring season and a bigger, bolder and better space, Schalk is throwing a huge reopening soireé for Soigné on Thursday April 2, from 6 to 8pm.
