Paint Your Face!

A makeup artist told me a little trade secret a few months ago. She said instead of buying makeup brushes that cost anywhere from ten to $20.00 at places like Sephora, I should instead buy paint brushes at art supply stores like Michael's or Hobby Lobby. She said the brushes are all manufactured at the same places using the same materials. So, this weekend, I went to Michael's and looked for the sizes and shapes of makeup brushes I needed on the paint brush aisle. Guess what? They had them. Even a big blush-type brush that I now use for applying bronzer. There was a thinner brush I use for applying lip liner, an eye shadow brush and a blunt-ended brush I use for my eye liner. I spent about ten dollars on four brushes.
